Welcome to the Edinburgh Branch of Embroiderer's Guild, we are open to lovers of textile art in all its forms.
We are a very sociable group who share an interest in textile art and enjoy the opportunities the Embroiderers' Guild has to offer; we meet to exchange ideas and information and, above all, to have fun.
We meet monthly from September to June for evening lectures on textile related topics or social evenings.
Where: Girl Guiding Edinburgh Headquarters, Melville Street, EH3 7JF
This is a central Edinburgh location with good bus access and free on street parking after 6.30pm
Membership - For session 2019-20 costs £52 including membership of the Embroiderers' Guild as well as Edinburgh Branch.
You are welcome to visit and 'try out' our meetings - you can attend your first meeting for free and then you can attend for a further 2 meetings for a fee of £3 each after this we ask that you become a member. You can join the group at any point in the year.
Members may bring guests to a meeting for fee of £3
Visiting Edinburgh? - don't forget if you are a member of the Embroiderer's Guild your first visit to another branch is free.

We will look at colour and how colours work together, through proportion, marrying together colour combinations we like and the combinations which sing to us.
21st March 2020 - Sheila Mortlock - POSTPONED
Sketchbooks – take a new sketchbook and most importantly an idea for a source of inspiration.
9th May 2020 Jo Mabbut - POSTPONED
This workshop will introduce a range of metallic media, including real metal leaf, metallic powders and metallic transfer foil, suitable for use on a variety of textiles including Lutradur.
